Varban Christov is a Bulgarian painter and visual artist born around 1956, based in Vannes, Brittany, since December 1985.
Trained at the Tarnovo School of Fine Arts, his work blends graphic writing, signs and symbols inspired by his origins and his fascination with matter.
Born in Ruse, Bulgaria.
Studied painting and aesthetics at the Tarnovo School of Fine Arts.
His earliest works were acquired by the National Museum in Sofia.
Moved to Vannes in 1985 for love. Developed an artistic approach centered on sign, mystery and memory.
In 2016, the Cohue Museum in Vannes acquired several of his drawings and works.
Recognized both locally and internationally, he was awarded a prize in October 2025 at an art competition in his hometown of Ruse.
